They know customer service!
We were visiting Springfield, Missouri while attending a convention and it was the end of the day, we were tired from the tear down and hungry.
I had noticed a billboard earlier in the day with their information and we decided that if time allowed that night we would swing by and give them a try.
It was running late by the time we were finished for the night so we gave them a call and found out that they closed at 10:30pm. Figuring drive time to get there that would leave us about an hour to eat and relax before our long drive home.
When we got there we were greeted by the manager, who we did not know at the time was the manager, he assured us that if there was anything out on the buffet that was out of stock to let them know and that they would cook it up fresh for us.
That statement in its own really impressed me. There have been numerous times that I have gone into a buffet setting during a time when either their staff were taking breaks or it was close to closing and getting them to restock an item was like pulling teeth. Having this assurance of not dealing with that issue before we even sat down felt good.
The food selection is average for an Asian style buffet, there are the standard offerings along with the "Americanized" versions. It was the end of the night so some of the items were either out or not so fresh.
But true to his word all we had to do was ask about an item and a few minutes later it was either brought to our table plated up or out to the buffet. There was one other table there that night, a couple who ended up leaving probably twenty minutes after we arrived.
I love frog legs and ended up ordering two fresh orders which they were happy to cook up and serve to me. All the other offerings we tried were good, anything that look like it was too dry from sitting too long they would cook up for us if we asked them to.
Sushi selection was small, but I will not complain because it was late and they really hit the mark on customer service.
This is a nice little buffet that I will go back to again in the future, not because they have the biggest offerings around, which they don't, but because they care about their customers and actually go above and beyond to assure that they have a good visit at their establishment.
First visit and most assuredly not the last visit from me!
